(Herz 87) [S] This is a favorite of many of our visitors. It has narrow golden leaves surrounded by a contrasting dark green border. When the flowers emerge, the base of the petioles is red-violet. Blooms are purple.

(Solberg/Wilkins 95) [M] Mound of rounded, waving, gray-green foliage. White "wax" on the upper and lower surfaces of the leaves gives this one a "ghostly" appearance. Hosta Piedmont Gold ……………….….… $12.00
(Stone 82) [25” H x 63” W] This Hosta has always been ranked near the top of the list of sieboldiana cultivars. Its’ medium gold foliage becomes brighter with some sun; with maturity, the leaves become corrugated and the margins rippled. It makes a large mound of beautiful, slug-resistant foliage. Near white flowers.

(Rassmussen/Malloy 97) [12” H x 24” W] Heart-shaped, light, gray-green leaves with wide irregular margins that change from yellow to creamy white during the growing season. We think this new Hosta is a winner! Many pale purple flowers.

(Species) [L] Long known and grown as the "August Lily", this has the largest and most heavily- scented flowers. Fragrance resembles the perfume "White Shoulders". Wide, light green, shiny, smooth leaves need some sun.

(Kuk 91) [M] Leaves are very glossy with heavy substance. Dark green and heart-shaped, the leaves emerge with a wide yellow margin which later turns white. Outstanding in both color and form. Lavender flowers

(G. van Eijk-Bos, D. van Erven and Walters Gardens, Inc.) [12" H x 20" W] A white-centered selection of 'June', this Hosta has a brighter, creamy center that is framed by a glue-green margin. Attractive heart-shaped leaves measure 6" long and 4" wide. It also demonstrates good slug resistance with its thicker foliage.

It was introduced in honor of a Walters Gardens employee, Sandy DeBoer, who died of breast cancer in 2001, and her courageous fight with breast cancer. A portion of the wholesale cost of the plant is being donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Oakcrest Gardens will also donate a portion of the sales proceeds to help fight the battle against Breast Cancer.
