Guarantee and Refund or Replacement Policy

We guarantee all plant material to be healthy, true to name, and sized as we describe on our web site. Survival in your garden cannot, however, be guaranteed. It is your responsibility to ensure that your plants get proper care once received.

Gardeners and plants are a resilient group; many of us try to push the limits of our climates and conditions. But, if you plant a moisture-loving plant in a hot, dry area that never gets additional watering, we can guarantee it will not survive. Conversely, planting a sun-loving plant in a moist, shady area will almost surely cause it to fail. While it may seem obvious, we sell living plants and we have no control over their lives or living conditions, weather extremes, or neighbors’ pets! If you follow our plant descriptions, suggestions, and guidelines, you will have great success with our plants.

Zone ratings, while an indicator, also do not guarantee that a plant will thrive for you. Rodents, deer, wild turkeys, domestic pets, poor soils, overly rich soils, salty soils, moisture conditions, and winter snow cover are all factors in a plant’s survival rate. And, when the wild critters are hungry, they will eat anything to survive – even the plants listed in the ”resistant” categories.

We pack our plants with love and care for their travels. If your plants do arrive in unsatisfactory condition, please advise us in writing or by email within one week of delivery. We will either refund your money or replace your plants, depending on your preference and the availability of replacement stock. We will not accept returns of plants for any reason other than covered by our guarantee.
